Solar street light system is mainly composed of LED lamp, solar panel, battery and solar controller. The position of solar panel and battery will be determined to different 3 types of solar street light: split, two in one and integrated AIO solar street light.
Structural differences
- Split solar street light
Split solar street light also called seperated solar street light, it means solar panel and battery are seperated with LED lamp. Normally solar panel will installed on the top of pole, battery box will be installed on the back of PV bracket (lithium battery) or on the pole (lithium battery or gel battery), or buried underground (lead-acid battery).

- Two in one solar street light
Two in one solar street means only split solar panel, solar battery(lithium battery cell) and solar controller will be installed on the LED lamp housing, and it is required a big back housing for LED lamp.
30W Solar 2 in one street light
- Integrated all in one solar street light
All in one solar street light means solar panel, battery (lithium battery) and solar controller all integrated into LED lamp housing.
50W Solar all in one street light
Pros and cons among split, two in one and integrated AIO solar street light as bellows:
Split | Two in one | AIO | |
Pros | Can OEM more bigger wattage as per requirement | Simple installation | Easier and simpler installation |
Flexible installation position of solar panel and battery | Beautiful appearance in structure | More beautiful appearance in structure
No need PV bracket | |||
With different mounting adapter
Cons | Need more cables for installation | Battery capacity limitation | The limitation of solar panel and battery capacity, cannot be bigger wattage |
Need installation instruction
Need PV bracket | Need PV bracket
So, it is quite important to choose the suitable solar system for project use or home use, which can save the power output and material cost as well.
